Schallehn began dancing at the age of three, and her love of dance has only intensified over the past 14 years. Schallehn has been taking classes and participating in numerous workshops, dance conventions, and competitions since she was six years old. She is fluent in the art of tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, and pointe. At the age of twelve she was chosen as a child dancer in The New York City Ballet’s production of “Firebird”. She also received a scholarship to attend The Hollywood Summer Tour in California.
In addition to many high score and first place awards, she has been awarded many special judges awards for “captivation” and “artistic representation”. Additionally, she has been repeatedly chosen as a member of the Elite National Dance Team as well as an Ultimate Assistant to the Spirit of Dance National Competition Team.
Schallehn not only dances herself but instills her knowledge and passion for dance into the hearts of others and has been teaching since the age of 13. Most of all she hopes to continue to carry on her career by teaching, choreographing, and inspiring others.
Kelly Curran is 16 years old and a junior at Ballston Spa High School. Kelly has been dancing since she was 4 years old and competing for 11 years. She has a passion for tap and is a strong advocate for bringing tap into the forefront of the dance world. During her competition years Kelly has won numerous high-score awards and special judges' awards, selections for national dance teams, several scholarships and was named an Ultimate Assistant for Spirit of Dance national competition.
Kelly began teaching solos at age 12 and continues to teach solos, duos and groups. Kelly enjoys sharing her passion for dance with all of her students.
Kelly is an honor student, active in Best Buddies and student government, serving as vice-president of the BSHS class of 2019.
Molly Brizzell, currently a senior at Saratoga Springs High School, has been dancing for 13 years and competing for 11. Her favorite genre is tap but she loves (and dances) them all. Since her first year of competition at age 6 Molly has won several special judges' awards, top placements, and overall high scores. She has also won scholarships to national dance workshops and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Molly has also been selected to numerous national all-star dance teams, including senior Ultimate Assistant for Spirit of Dance national dance competition. Her dance inspirations include Fred Astaire and Michael Jackson.
In her free time Molly plays varsity field hockey, writes fiction and enjoys listening to 80's music. She is vice-president of the SSHS American Sign Language club and teaches a weekly Sunday school class for 3 to 4 year-olds.
Haley is currently combining junior and senior year at Schuylerville High school. At age 5 she started competitive gymnastics and moved to competitive dance at age 11. She is currently starting her 6th year of competitive dance. Her favorite styles are lyrical and contemporary but Haley dances all forms.
Over the years Haley has won many judges' awards and national team scholarships. She was also awarded an opportunity to be a teaching assistant at a national convention. Haley has also won four scholarships to the Hollywood summer tour, which she was finally able to attend the summer of 2016. While at the Hollywood Summer Tour she was able to take classes from many well-known choreographers. In August of 2017 Haley was awarded a scholarship to attend the Backhaus summer dance intensive at Chapman University in California. Haley is planning on graduating high school a year early in order to get a head start on her dance career at a college in California.
